Springtime Bouquet

Happy Friday!  It's Jeanne today with a pretty card today that could be used for a number of occasions.  I stamped a generic "for you" on it but think birthday, Mother's Day, thank you, etc.
What made this card fun to make is that it was just like arranging real flowers!
I ran the Spring Teacup Bouquet die through the Big Shot twice using white card stock.  This gave me two of every flower.
Next I colored them using Distress Oxide inks.
Think of all the color combinations you could get with this bouquet!
To get my scalloped strip, I used the third largest Nested Scalloped Square die and trimmed off the top and side, then cut the strip 1 1/2 inches wide.  I saved the other piece to use on another card.  I glued my strip to a white panel 4 x 5 1/4 inches.
I loaded this into my Misti and laid the teacup where I wanted it so I could position my sentiment.  I did not glue it to the card but now I knew where it would go on the card and I stamped the sentiment.
I glued one flower and leaf overhanging the teacup....
and used foam dots around the lower part of the back of the cup.  This gave me an easy way to insert the flowers "into" the cup.
By popping up the cup and leaving the top open I could arrange the flowers!  I used foam tape on the back of the panel to adhere it to a side fold A2 card base.
I love this die.  There are so many flowers that the variations are endless.  The dimension on this bouquet makes it truly special!

Valentine Blooming Heart

Happy Friday Cottage Cutz fans!  It's Jeanne posting today and I've been in the mood to make Valentine's Day cards this year.  They are so fun to send to friends and family - not just your "sweetheart" (there should be only ONE of those, right?)  So I've been making Valentine's - or "Galentine's" - Day cards.  This one is right up my alley in a clean and simple style.
I started off by watercoloring a background using Real Red and Powder Pink.
Then I cut a square using the largest of the Nested Scallop Squares dies.
Using the second largest square from the Cross Stitched Squares set, I made a frame by centering it and cutting out the middle.  I just eye balled it to get it centered, but I would recommend using Washi tape to hold it down as you run it through your die cutter so it doesn't shift.
I made an A2 card base from white card stock and stamped my sentiment in the Real Red.
I cut my watercolor panel to a size in between the inner and outer dimensions of the frame.  About 3 1/2 inches.  This is adhered to the card base.  Then I used narrow foam tape to pop up the frame from the base and put it on top.
For my main image I used the Blooming Heart die in silver card stock.  Whenever I have an intricate die such as this I like to use an adhesive sheet on the back.  The die will cut through all layers EXCEPT the "wax paper" backing of the adhesive sheet.  However, that works great because the image peels right off like a sticker!
After I attached my frame, I added the main image and some crystal heart embellishments.

I hope you enjoyed this card today.  I had fun designing it and it is one I can easily see sending out to my friends on Valentine's Day to let them know how special they are.

Pretty Vases!

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Family,

It is Pam sharing with you today on the blog!

We are still showcasing the beautiful dies from the Mother's Day release.  They are so fantastic and can be used for a variety of occasions.

Also, there is a big sale going on in the online store.  You can save up to 70% on dies.  Lots to choose from so take some time to go shopping!  Now is the time to add to your collection!

Now on to today's card!  This card is so great for the spring with lots of flower in beautiful vases!

Design Steps:
 1.  Cut all of the pieces in white card stock using the Flowers for Mom die
 2.  Use your markers and color all of the pieces.  I used Copics: G40, 43, 46 - YR16, Y18, and R46
 3.  Assemble the flowers and then arrange them into the vases
 4.  When I assembled the vases I used tape to adhere the flowers to the vases
 5.  Use an A2 whtie card base, cut a piece of white card stock slightly smaller and run through a dotted embossing folder.  Cut a piece of DP 4 x 5 1/4 and cut out 3 2 inch squares using the Nested Stitched Scallop Square Set.  Glue the DP to the embossed card stock and then to the front of the card.  Pop up all of the vases in the squares, add the sentiment and bow
