Wedding Cake and Butterflies

Happy Sunday CottageCutz fans! It's Janet and it's my turn to share some creative inspiration with you.

Today's project is a card featuring the beautiful new Tiered Wedding Cake die. I had a lot of fun putting it together. It has a lot of small pieces but I found a way to make them easier to manage and color. I share this tip with you in the video and show you how well it works. You may have seen it before but you'll get to see it in action in the video.

The card also features the new Nested Stitched Eyelet Oval Set, the Celebrate Expressions Die, Butterflies, and the Leafy Foliage dies.

I cut all the pieces in white card stock and used my Spectrum Noir markers and clear Wink of Stella so that each of the die cuts complemented each other as a set.

For full instructions and a look at how it was put together, click on the video link below.

It was great spending a little time with you today. I hope the rest of your weekend is great!

Lace card with Foam Flowers

Hello to all !!!

This is Anita here!!!! I have not been around for some time and miss all the action here!!! I have been travelling and also due to some family emergencies, life has not been very normal to me . But now everything is coming back to place so here I am with another creation of mine. This time I tried working with foam flowers . And you can see the results.

This is my first attempt with Foamiran and its very easy to use with Dies from Cottage Cutz.
To make this card......

1. Cut a pattern paper to size 5.5 inches x 5.5 inches.
2. Mat it on white card stock that is slightly bigger than the pattern paper.
3. Adhere the card panel on a card base 6 x 6 inches.
4. Cut out the flowers from the flower die using a foam sheet.
5. Add colours using the Archival ink/pan pastel/distress inks/crayons.
6. Switch on the heat tool and apply heat on the flower die cut just for 3-4 seconds. You will see the flower curl up. Mold a little on a foam pad.
7. Cut out leaves from the Leafy foliage die and colour with Forest Moss Distress ink.
8. Cut out three oval die  cuts from Cross- stitched Oval die and lay on top of each other with glue. Stamp the sentiment on top.
9. Cut two die cuts from Victorian Frame die and adhere together. Adhere this on the oval.
10. Cut one Lace envelope die cut and adhere on the card front. Add the oval and the flowers and leaves as shown.

Baby Boy Explosion Box card

Hello to all !! It's Anita here with a baby boy explosion box. CottageCutz has recently released a whole new range of baby dies and they are all so adorable. You can check the whole collection here
Here is my explosion box card showing many dies and they give the whole project such a beautiful look.

Score a 6.25 x6.25 inch paper at 1" intervals on all sides and snip off the corners as shown. This makes the lid of the box.
To make this box, Score a 12x12 inch card stock at 4" and 8" and turn the paper and score again.Cut out the four corners as shown.

Cut pattern papers 3 x 3 and cut the cross stitched die cut. Distress with blue ink.

Cut the die cuts and assemble them together following the image on the paper pack.

Layer all the die cuts and papers together.

Make 3D flower and arrange in the centre with leaves using 3d foam tape.
